Howdy from Texas,
It's been a banner month at Synchro ERP with many new customers to welcome aboard.
Right now, all eyes are turned toward the upcoming Investment Casting Exposition in Pittsburgh and the NFFS show in Phoenix. Then, on to an AFS Texas board meeting in Oklahoma, go figure...
Unfortunately, when I was growing up the medical community didn't think it was wise to remove the tonsils. I managed to pick up tonsilitis on my recent sales trip to Wyoming and have been battling it since Friday and even with the best medical care, haven't been able to shake it. Oh well, this to shall pass.
I do hope you are planning on meeting up with us at one of the upcoming shows.
Be sure to check out our schedule at Synchro ERP Exhibition Schedule
Had an interesting time in Wyoming and learned a lot of things about luxury automobiles of all things. Due to the massive Colorado floods, all of the rental cars and trucks had been procured from Casper Wyoming and sent to Colorado. People without reservations for a rental car were left stranded, fortunately I did have a reservation. All they had left was an Infinity which they upgraded me to at no charge. I had never driven a "key less" vehicle before, and it took me for ever to figure out the proper sequence to get the thing started in the first place. PRESS THE BRAKE AND THEN PRESS THE BUTTON, NO, NOT THE PARKING BREAK, THE REAL BRAKE AND PRESS IT HARD! Then, when I was filling it up with gasoline-petrol, I couldn't figure out how to open up the fuel door. I must have sat ten minutes at the gas station trying to find the switch or lever, feeling like a real idiot. No bueno. Sure glad I wasn't low on gas or stuck out in the middle of no where. Went back to the hotel and fired up the old Wild West Web and learned that pressing the key fob for the door unlock multiple times while standing near the fuel door and then pressing on it would open it. It worked. Of course, there were no user manuals in the vehicle or any notes or anything. I noticed that the fuel door was somewhat "bent", so I'm sure I was not the only one trying to figure it out.
Had a great visit with our newest customer in Wyoming and they really have a sharp and clean operation. They will get a huge bang out of Synchro ERP w/o the buck!
Anyway, until next time, I will see you next month down the road in Pittsburgh.

The Strength of Metalcasting
Howdy from Texas,
Just a short note to kick off September with, I came across this video, and being a metalcaster, it had very special meaning to me. Whomever melted and poured the metal, cast the part, finished it, quality inspected it, and then shipped it must be proud that their casting was used in a commercial.
It would not surprise me if the metalcaster that made the part is using the global leading software solution from Synchro ERP. The casting is probably residing in a database with all of the associated information including the melt, chemical and physical properties, and certification information. The casting might even be a serialized part with complete traceability back to the pour.
Reminder, there are a slew of upcoming expositions that Synchro ERP will be attending. Be sure to visit http://www.synchroerp.com/exhibitions/exhibitions.htm to see where we will be at!
For a behind the scenes look at the making of the commercial, please see http://volvogroup.synapticdigital.com/Videos/volvo-trucks-president-takes-role-of-stuntman/s/941ed12e-5670-4d20-bf2a-6e6e22b243ba
Until next time, see you on down the road.

As promised here is the answer to the Trivia question from the last Blog ...
Around the world each year 950,000 people go to the hospital after tripping over what?
Answer; Their pet / Pets toys or bowls !!
Finally a few words from our Sales and Marketing Director ...
Appreciation of our abundant life.
I am a believer in nurturing.
As a woman this
gives me a small benefit as nature intended However, I have a passion for nutrition and a
healthy lifestyle.
Our health requires nurturing and
for many it is too late when this realization comes
to awareness. Many people treat their cars with more
care!
Business requires nurturing and the better we are
at this the more growth and success we achieve.
Synchro ERP is a healthy growing company, the
recession had little impact on our growth and new
business, I liken all this to nature. The
similarities are so close.
Take a seed put it into a
healthy compost, care and tender everyday. Watch it
grow, don't be distracted from nurturing. Growth is
inevitable, watch the environment and consider any
impact this may have.
To the cynics, they may laugh but as one business
manager said to me recently. Most of those who show
disdain are not so successful.
It is not acceptable to have one unhappy Synchro
customer. One is too many.
Team work...without them this company could not succeed.
Barbara Nolan Collins
Hope you all have a great week and Team Synchro look forward to catching up with you again soon.
